Did you know that you can get airline miles for dining, at no cost to you?
Those miles (American Airlines, Delta, etc.) can be useful for upgrades and free travel. Although there are many ways to get them, one simple, free way is through Rewards Network. This is a website where you sign up by providing your credit card information (the card you use to pay at restaurants) and your airline program number (it works with several airlines, including American, Delta, Jetblue, Southwest, and Spirit). Then, you do nothing else.
When you happen to eat at a participating restaurant (of which there are thousands, including casual and fine), you will automatically get extra airline miles for dining, just for paying with the credit card you signed up. It is fully automatic and passive, and requires no further action on your part. See below:
I like this program because it costs me nothing, and every once in a while I get a pleasant surprise and see my mileage balance increase with no cost or effort on my part.
